    • DO NOT BUY THIS KINDLE EDITION. The product description reads "Editeur : Lonely Planet (15 février 2012)", but the actual guide is a much earlier version, badly outdated and basically useless. E.g. here it what it says about the Neues Museum: "it is now being painstakingly rebuilt and expected to reopen in 2009". The current print version of the guide does indeed have an up-to-date section about the museum (I checked a friend's copy). If anybody knows how I could get my money back from amazon, [...]

    • La carte ne couvre que le centre et beaucoup de rues ne sont pas indiquéesLa carte "gratuite" du pass Oh Berlin est de meilleure qualité

    • The map is not laminated, as I mistakenly thought it would be, nor does it cover all of Berlin -- just the central part and portions of outlying neighborhoods. But it is detailed and easy to read with train and metro stops indicated, so it will be useful for my trip even if the neighborhood I will be staying in isn't well covered.

    • So I reordered it! I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of information and the quality; this isn't a simple, make-money-quick effort but an attempt to give a very thorough idea of what you will see in Berlin and what its significance is, and it does go off the beaten track to explore parts of Berlin that other guidebooks don't seem to. I'm really enjoying the details about architecture, though it covers all sorts of things and isn't really written just for travelers in their 20s, like many [...]

    • We used this guide for two weeks in Berlin, then passed it on to relatives who were staying on there. It is as well organized, easy to use and worthwhile as a guide could be. Virtually everyrestaurant recommendation we took from it turned out be superb. In one case, Cafe Jacques, we were asked by the restaurant waitstaff and other diners how we found this excellent, butsomewhat hidden Kreuzberg neighborhood eatery. The book made everything easy to find and quick to get to. I would give it five st [...]

    • Absolutely the worst map I have ever purchasedI would give it a minus 5 stars if I could. It is useless to find anything other than major streets and that’s even difficult as many are not identified. Save your money.
